Sarah first became a CR member during her freshman year in high school, but didn’t fully engage as a member until the beginning of her senior year. After attending the second annual teen convention in the summer leading up to last year of high school, Sarah approached CR with a desire to contribute more to both the organization and community as a whole. Only months after becoming actively involved, Sarah headed up her first Chain Reaction teen project by organizing the CR Freeze. During the downtown Pensacola gallery night, CR teens gathered together to make an impact through an act of performance art. Sarah was able to implement her leadership skills through this opportunity, and has continued to actively be involved with Chain Reaction leadership on a weekly basis.
As the CR co-president, Jake has developed two CR teen projects; one being Running Water and his newest being Scoopin’ for the Kids. In this video, Jake explains where he got his idea for Scoopin’ for the Kids, and what made him passionate about this project.
Previous Chain Reaction VISTA shares with the teens at the 2011 Teen Convention how Chain Reaction helped her discover her talent and love for databases.
